Librarian Local History
Auckland Council – North Shore, Auckland – A big part of this job is to engage customers from the Hibiscus and Bays North Local Board community to increase participation and use of the library. With a particular focus on local history, you will be organising and delivering programmes and events through-out the year such as NZ Family History month and The Auckland Heritage Festival. You will build and maintain relationships with local community groups including the local Puhoi and Silverdale Museums and champion the recording and abstracting of local oral histories. You will also be involved in identifying service gaps and be focussed in applying co-design principles to design innovative programmes and services that are driven by community need.
