Molecular Pathology Technician – Scion

Science New Zealand – Rotorua, Bay of Plenty – Molecular Pathology Technician – Scion We are looking for a new molecular pathology technician This is a hands-on role, working mostly in the lab Full time, permanent role at Scion’s Rotorua campus Scion is a Crown Research Institute specialising in research, science and technology development for the forestry industry, wood products and wood-derived materials. People enjoy working in our Forest Protection team as we strive to protect NZ’s plantation and urban forests from disease and insect challenge. We also lead new technology development for renewables, waste, bioproducts and energy and the establishment of a broader based bio-economy. In this role you will assist with molecular research projects and diagnostics in the Forest Protection team, with a focus on pathology projects. Your work will take place mostly in the laboratory but also in the field at times. You will work on a variety of molecular pathology projects, provide written reports and presentations, as well as … – Permanent – Full-time
