Registered Nurse – Rangatahi Adolescent Unit

Porirua – An opportunity has arisen to practise and enhance your nursing skills at the Regional Rangatahi Adolescent Inpatient Service. RRAIS is a 13 bed unit located at Kenepuru Hospital, 20 kilometres north of central Wellington covering the Central Region DHBs. We are a bicultural service based on kaupapa Maori frameworks combined with mainstream researched based psychiatry approaches. We have a belief that adolescents sometimes need a space where they can feel safe and be helped to make some sense of the chaotic world. We believe it is essential that youth can have a voice and feel that they have been heard. Requirements: Passionate about nursing. Able to bring your skills to an inpatient setting. Motivated, thoughtful and professional. Have an understanding of a Maori World View. A team player. Have a least 2 years mental health experience as Registered Nurse and/or completed the NESP Programme. Current NZNC Practising Certificate.
